Download Motorola Droid Bionic Android 4.0.4 ICS Update 6.7.246.XT875 Rolls Out Today, Heads up Motorola Droid Bionic owners. Finally, Verizon is about to roll out the long awaited Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich OS update for the Droid Bionic handsets from today. In fact, the was supposed to roll out in the 3rd quarter of this year. The new firmware update bumps the software version up to Android 4.0.4 from Android 2.3.4 and the new build number will be 6.7.246.XT875.Verizon.en.US.
Along with the ICS goodies, the update also brings improved Google Calendar sync, better mobile hotspot connectivity, improved SmartActions app, a direct access lock screen, a new home screen launch bar, Data Usage monitoring, enhanced notifications, addition of the GetDeviceID API, Improvements to Google Play auto restore, improved Amazon Kindle & Blockbuster apps, improved Text Message Delivery, enhanced connectivity and reliability of Visual Voicemail (VVM) and the update will remove Mobile IM app from the build and users can now add and delete Facebook accounts from their handsets.

The ICS update roll out over-the-air (IOTA). The Droid Bionic users should start seeing the notification alerts on their handsets today asking them accept the update and download it. You can try to check for the update by hitting up Menu > Settings > About phone > System Updates –> if you found the update –> follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrade process
The update is 368.4MB of size.
