Asus may be pegging the Padfone 2 for an October 16th launching, but Bloomberg TV Indiacaught up with CEO Jerry Shen for a quick teaser. The original Padfone was a smartphone that could be slotted into a tablet. Its new iteration also does the same thing, expect Asus took away the cover flap and users can dock the PadFone 2 right into the new, sleeker tablet.
As for the Padfone 2 itself, Shen confirmed to Bloomberg that it packs a 4.7-inch HD screen and a 13-megapixel camera. But that aside, Asus kept mum on the PadFone 2’s specs, but rumour has it that it will include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and 2GB RAM.
